A volunteer Board governs the direction and operations of ‘Ahahui Koa Ānuenue. We thank these men and women who give tirelessly to support our goals.

Chairman

Mark Polivka

Mark Polivka
Mark takes over as the 8th Chairperson of ‘Ahahui Koa Ānuenue. A long time UH Season ticket holder, he serves as president of Monach Insurance Services and a graduate of the University of Nebraska.

Mark's community service activities are numerous. He serves on the State of Hawai‘i, Board of Medical Examiners, Director of USS Missouri Memorial Association, Director of Aloha Festivals, Director of Hawaiian Humane Society, Co-Chair of Kapiolani Hospital, Major Gifts Committee, Director of Honolulu Chamber of Commerce, Director of Sennett Capital, Director of Zephyr Insurance Company, Director of Honolulu HomeLoans, Director of Dragon Bridge, and Director of Hotel Mark Twain.

His hobbies include golf, travel, and reading.

Vice Chairman/Chairman-Elect

Al Chee

Al Chee
Al currently serves as Hawaii Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs. In this role he has oversight of Chevron's government affairs, community relations and media relations in support of Chevron's manufacturing, distribution and marketing of petroleum products within the State of Hawai‘i.

Al joined Chevron in 1998 after a career in the local real estate development and general contracting industry. In his current role, Al represents Chevron's interests as a registered lobbyist in the legislative setting, is responsible for managing internal and external communications, and oversees development and implementation of key community partnerships in Hawai‘i. He is an active member of the Hawai‘i Bowl Executive Committee and a board of director of the non-profit Hawai‘i Speed & Quickness.

Al graduated from Kamehameha Schools — Kapalama and earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawai‘i at MĀnoa. He is married to Shonn Hirota-Chee. They have two daughters. He enjoys coaching youth sports, volunteering with local non-profits, and woodworking.

Treasurer

Bonny Amemiya

Bonny Amemiya
Bonny Amemiya is currently Chief Financial Officer for AIO Group. Bonny has overall responsibility for all of AIO's financial, accounting, legal and regulatory requirements. Bonny was most recently the Director of Finance and Marketing at Anheuser-Busch Sales of Hawaii. Prior to Anheuser-Busch, Bonny was the Chief Financial Officer for Pentagram Corporation, the then Hawaii Burger King franchisee, and has previous audit and tax experience working for Ernst & Young.

Bonny currently serves as the Chair of the Hawai‘i Food Industry Association, the Treasurer of ‘Ahahui Koa Ānuenue, the Treasurer of Aloha Harvest and is a past President of Financial Executives International Hawaii Chapter. She earned her CPA certification from the State of Washington and graduated from the University of Washington with a BBA in Accounting. A graduate of Punahou School, she is married to Keith Amemiya and their son, Christopher, is a 6th grader at Punahou.

Ray Ono

Ray Ono
Ray joined First Hawaiian Bank in June 1978 as a management trainee. He spent most of his career in the branch system progressing to various management positions and is currently Vice Chairman and Chief Banking Officer of the Retail Banking Group which is responsible for all Branches and Banking Centers; Private, Personal and Business Banking; Japan Business Development; Sales, Service and Training; and Wealth Management. Ray serves on the bank's Senior Management, Asset Liability and Credit Committees.

A Honolulu native and graduate of Iolani School (1972), Ray is an alumnus of Willamette University (B.S., 1976, MBA, 1978) and is a 1990 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

Ray serves on the boards of the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation, Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, Friends of Hawai‘i Charities, St. Andrew's Priory School and ‘Ahahui Koa Ānuenue. Ray also serves on the Military Affairs Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawai‘i and is a commissioner of the Hawai‘i Sports Hall of Fame. Ray is a member of Waialae Country Club.

Ray and his wife Tiare have four children — Amy, Lindsey, Ryan and Reyn.
